HomeRite of Maryland is a window and door dealer that specializes in energy efficient, quality windows with warranties and service to match. We have partnered with a manufacturer MI Windows and Doors that has been family owned and operated with over 60 years of experience. Over the span of these 60 years, the window and door industry has changed a great deal and our manufacturer has stayed at the forefront of those changes through design, quality, customer support, and energy issues.
Our experienced installers and management team has worked in the
Baltimore / Washington remodeling market since the early eighties.
Whether new construction or renovation, please let us know your
needs - we are fully licensed, insured, and bonded. All of our products
are engineered and tested to meet strict guidelines for Energy Star,
AAMA, and NFRC requirements. We are a Better Business Bureau accredited
firm and a certified member of the United States Green Building
Council, a non-profit organization comprised of leaders across the
industry working to advance envornmentally responsible buildings.
History of MI Windows and Doors
 MI Windows and Doors is one of the nation's largest suppliers of
vinyl and aluminum windows and doors. With plants across the country,
MI offers a broad spectrum of windows and patio doors-backed by
exemplary customer service.
The company that now manufactures on a nationwide level began with J.T. Walker and Robert J. Word in 1947 at a Florida airplane hangar making screens. These hardworking, visionary founders never forgot the value of good people as the company continued to expand.
Steadily increasing the scope of its business while adding plants
from coast to coast, MI began manufacturing storm windows and storm
doors, then introduced vinyl replacement windows. In the 1990s,
MI brought its hard work and expertise to the new construction market,
purchasing Capitol in the early part of the decade and BetterBilt
in 1999.
Having kept the focus on people as its greatest asset, MI continues to manufacture quality windows and doors under our respected brand. Our products serve distributors, architects, builders, remodelers and homeowners alike.
